BIG NEWS IN SPORTS - The Marlins and Nationals got into it yesterday when Marlins pitcher Chris Volstad threw behind Nationals center fielder Nyjer Morgan, and Morgan charged the mound. Volstad had already hit Morgan in his previous at bat. Morgan took a big swing at Volsted, but then Marlins first baseman Gaby Sanchez ran in and clotheslined Morgan hard. After the game, Morgan didn't regret charging the mound, and Nationals head coach Jim Riggleman sounded fine with it too.
It has finally been announced the new name for Conan O'Brien's New Show: There's Madonna, Oprah, Reba and now ... "Conan". Conan O'Brien filmed a video and aired it on tbs for the announcement – check it out! Thetalk show KICKS OFF on TBS November 8th.

Hostage Standoff: Before James Jay Lee took hostages yesterday at the Discovery Channel, he demanded, among other things, 'All programs on Discovery Health-TLC must stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants and the false heroics behind those actions. A 2007 survey of more than 2,500 pet owners by the American Pet Products Association found 43 percent of dogs slept in a person's bed at night, a steady increase from 34 percent a decade ago. So is there anything wrong with pets in the bed? i know i let my puppy nap with me - and i dont mind at all - until he starts to take up ALL the bed space. but, for all you who love to nap with your furry friend, here are your pros & cons...
The Pros Sleeping in the same bed has strong emotional benefits for you and your pooch.
1. It's comforting to both the owners and the animals. The company of pets have been proven to lower blood pressure, stress and reduce feelings of loneliness.
2. It can deepen the bond between dog and owner.New York City dog trainer Sarah Westcott, owner of Doggie Academy, always gave her dogs their own beds. But then she adopted Hank, a lab who kept to himself.
3. It can give nervous dogs more confidence.Sherry Bedard, an animal trainer and behaviorist in Montreal and author of "Sherry's Secret Dictionary, A Guide to your Dog" believes that the assurance boost of sharing the bed with their owners can "help the dog cope with everyday functions such as going out for a walk in public or meeting strangers."
The Cons From health reasons to relationships concerns, there are strong arguments against sharing the bed.
1. It can intensify allergies. Your airways are more susceptible to irritants at night, partly because when you're lying down, you're closer to the ground, where particles settle. Multiply that by plus or minus 8 hours and that's a lot of exposure, if you find yourself sniffling or wheezing, the pet should leave the bedroom.
2. It can amp up human/canine power struggles. Giving the dog the highest, most comfortable spot in the house sends the message that he is the leader of the pack. "Many of these dogs will even growl at their owners if they wake them in the middle of the night or snap at them if they try to get them off the bed," says Langston.
3. Noisy or pushy dogs can keep you from getting a good night's rest.In a 2001 study by the Mayo Clinic, more than half of pet owners seeking treatment for sleep disorders said their pets disturbed their sleep every night because of snoring, needing to go outside or hogging the bed. 4. It can cause arguments between couples. "I can tell you stories about fighting with a German Shepherd for room on my ex-boyfriend's full-size bed," says Christie Hyde, a public relations professional from Daytona Beach. "Apparently I was expected to sleep curled in a ball at the top of the bed."
The 'Dancing With the Stars' season 11 cast was revealed in a live announcement Monday night during 'The Bachelor Pad.' Hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke revealed the female celebrities first, then the men. The new 'DWTS' cast includes 'Brady Bunch' mom Florence Henderson, 'Baywatch' icon David Hasselhoff, 'Jersey Shore' star The Situation, NFL quarterback Kurt Warner and teen mom/political scion Bristol Palin. 'Dancing With the Stars' season 11 premieres Sept. 20 on ABC. Bergeron did not reveal which pro dancers the celebrities would be paired up with, though the men may miss out on a chance to cha-cha with Edya Sliwinska, who reportedly quit the show.

GOOD MORNING! I listen to you two and Mudflap every morning while getting ready for work. I have heard you talk about double rainbows before and wanted to send you two pictures from tonight's Bronco's game (Brooke- I, too, LOVE Brady Quinn!). It rained for a few minutes, but then the double rainbow appeared. In my 28 years of life I have never been lucky enough to see this phenomenal sight! It was an amazing, beautiful scene that I do believe is my dad looking down on me, telling me all is OK (he passed away just under 6 months ago). I share this with you because you three make me smile in the morning while getting ready for work and you all make getting up in the morning every day much easier. I have actually started setting my alarm clock to go off 20 minutes earlier just so I can catch more of your show! Thank you for finding light and joy in the simple things in life and sharing then with your listeners. Thank you, too, for creating hysterical parodies of some of my favorite songs! Anyway, enjoy the pictures, I just wish the second rainbow was a bit brighter, but believe me it was fabulous.

I also wanted to let you know that tonight I learned that a double rainbow is actually just a mirror image reflection of the first rainbow. I don't know if you can tell in the pictures I am sending, but the top rainbow has its colors opposite the bottom rainbow.. Just a fun fact :)
