I wasn’t TOO excited about seeing this movie, it just didn’t seem to be something I would think was funny, very slapstick and predictable.My boyfriend Tommy wouldn’t let me miss it, and I am a HUGE fan of Steve Carrel and Paul Rudd, so I decided to check it out, and I am SO GLAD I did.The movie was a hell of a lot funnier than I predicted, if you enjoy the type of slapstick from ‘The Hangover’ and from ‘The Office’, you, like my boyfriend will be laughing for two hours straight.
Paul Rudd stars as a man who works for an investment company and is trying to get a promotion. After coming up with a good idea, the top executives ask him to join them at their monthly dinner. The catch – everyone brings an idiot and they all get to make fun of the schmucks.
Paul Rudd is great, but the star of the movie has to be Steve Carrell. His cringe worthy moments made me feel awkward in my seat but had me laughing out loud along with the rest of the crowd.Steve’s unusual hobby had you scratching at your head but pulling at your heart strings as you found yourself laughing AT him, and then with him.Some of the funniest moments came about when the bearded Zach Galifianakis showed up, taking the movie to platinum status.This movie promises to give you more heart than you see in the trailer, and more funny than you may be able to handle.

I have been extremely excited about this movie since I first saw the preview.Yes, I am a big Zac Efron, “High School Musical” fan, I will admit that, but he just seemed to really show his acting chops off in this movie.I will say, for me it was a tear jerker in some moments, and had great comedic timing when it needed to lighten up the mood.To cover the entire plot, it was sort of “Field of Dreams” meets “The Sixth Sense” with a love story and family drama tied into the mix.
Zac Efron stars as a high school graduate who has a promising future.He’s got a full ride sailing scholarship to Stanford and is ready to spend his last summer at home with his little brother and mom until a car accident prevents that from happening.He winds up working in a cemetery because he can see and communicated with his dead brother and refuses to leave him behind, and move on with his own life.
While the movie may sound like a depressing flick to catch, it has something that I find lacking these days, a very strong family tie, as Zac Efron’s character put’s his brother first before himself…the bond between the two (who were left at a young age by their father) is the defining theme of the movie.I enjoyed it, but I am a Disney Channel fan who is a sucker for the family tragedy story…it is a great movie to catch if you have the strong family bond, but may go over your head if you don’t care either way (kind of like it did for my boyfriend Tommy.)

The people over at Funny or Die are at it again, this time with Grammy-nominated artist Jewel. The concept? Send Jewel to a local karaoke bar disguised as a mere mortal and have her sing some of her own songs. They fitted her with a wig, prosthetic nose, and, naturally, a bigger butt. Pretending to be a frumpy businesswoman named Karen, Jewel takes the stage and proceeds to totally dumbfounds the audience with her singing abilities. They have no idea she’s the real Jewel. (I wouldn’t have known either. Let’s all applaud the power of a little makeup.)

now THIS is what we call dedication - a fan attending a texas rangers game fell 30 feet last night - falling from the 2nd story club level down to the lower level - delaying the game 16 minutes while medical crews attended to the victim. it all went down during the 5th inning, and the frightening incident shocked everyone - as well as the home plate umpire. the rangers executives says the fallen fan was stablized and 'able to move all his extremities' - four other fans were injured during the scary fall - but none hospitalized. 1 tbs black pepper
2 tbs paprika
4 shakes of any hot sauce
4 cups flour
Crisco cooking oil
1 frying pan or deep fryer
1 8 ½ stock pot
1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
PREPARATION
Step 1 – cut chick, clean it, let drain
Step 2 – put chicken into pot, add seasoning and hot sauce
Step 3 – add cooking oil to frying pan.Add cups of flour into paper bag, add seasoned chicken to bag – shake bag until chicken is coated and put chicken into pan.

He's starting by considering casting Rupert as a meany gangster in one of his next movies, seeing the potential in the ginge to expand past his Potter roots. He explains:
"I thought he (Grint) was a great actor in the Harry Potter movies. In a lot of scenes, the boy stole the show. He will always have respect for the movies that gave him such a huge break, but at his age it's important he doesn't become typecast. He has to do something really out of his comfort zone in the next few years - play a gangster, play a dirty cop, play a kid with learning difficulties. I would be interested in working with him. I would have no issues in casting him as a gangster, he is a very talented young man … When Leo was in 'Titanic' and 'Romeo and Juliet', nobody saw him becoming a bad ass in movies like 'The Departed'. But he has become one of the greatest actors of all time. The very same could be true of Rupert."
